Miracles (Prayer Friday)

Just got a text message from a friend who asked for prayer - "God gave me a miracle today...[healed]."

I was not the only one they asked for prayer, but I was part of a team that called out to God and he heard us an answered.

What would you ask for (spiritually appropriate) if you knew God would say "yes"?

Either way it's prayer Friday, in fact it really should be called prayer weekend!  What would you like me to pray for?

For me:

Please pray that will have Desire, Courage, Strength so that I will pursue God more and spend more time with Him.  I have been spending less lately and can tell the difference.  I need to spend more time.  Also pray for protection for my family.  The spiritual enemy we all face would love to destroy me, my wife and my kids just as much as he would like to destroy you, so please pray for my protection.

Deuteronomy 6:13-25 (Today's New International Version)

¹³ Fear the LORD your God, serve him only and take your oaths in his name. ¹⁴ Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you; ¹⁵ for the LORD your God, who is among you, is a jealous God and his anger will burn against you, and he will destroy you from the face of the land. ¹⁶ Do not put the LORD your God to the test as you did at Massah. ¹⁷ Be sure to keep the commands of the LORD your God and the stipulations and decrees he has given you. ¹⁸ Do what is right and good in the LORD's sight, so that it may go well with you and you may go in and take over the good land that the LORD promised on oath to your ancestors, ¹⁹ thrusting out all your enemies before you, as the LORD said.

    ²⁰ In the future, when your children ask you, "What is the meaning of the stipulations, decrees and laws the LORD our God has commanded you?" ²¹ tell them: "We were slaves of Pharaoh in Egypt, but the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand. ²² Before our eyes the LORD sent signs and wonders—great and terrible—on Egypt and Pharaoh and his whole household. ²³ But he brought us out from there to bring us in and give us the land that he promised on oath to our ancestors. ²⁴ The LORD commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear the LORD our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, as is the case today. ²⁵ And if we are careful to obey all this law before the LORD our God, as he has commanded us, that will be our righteousness."

He is here among us.  He walks next to us.  He listens as we talk.  He watches us.  There is now where we can go to hide from Him.  We do not even possess the power to send Him away.  He is here watching us (as I type and you read).  He desires to be involved in my life!  He desires to be involved in ALL of my life.

He has commanded that I fear Him and Him alone for only He has the power to create and destroy.  Not only does He have the power, He has the right.  He is my master and I His slave.

After reading the passage I wrote this prayer.  If you agree with and desire it for your life, please comment with an Amen.

Prayer-

Bless me with reverent fear of you my God!  May I never worship or serve any other god.

Bless me with your jealous love! May I remain faithful to your words and never feel your anger.

Bless me with wisdom to honor and keep your commands!  May I do what is right in your eyes.

Bless me with your might and strength that goes before me!  May my enemies feel your wrath.

Bless my generations with your Spirit.  May all my sons and daughters fear their Lord.

Bless me with signs and wonders from you!  May I remain in awe of your powerful love.

Bless me with your promises!  May I inherit all that you have for me.

Bless me with your righteousness.  May all who see me know whom I serve.
